Emma Holten’s book The Value of Care has been translated into several different languages (including Finnish: Kuluerä – Mikä on hoivan arvo, Gummerus 2025) and won multiple awards. She brilliantly analyses on how care work is undervalued, the societal implications of the constant lack of resources for the care sector and on how feminist economics can change the world. At Käänne Festival 2026, Emma will participate in a discussion on care and feminist economics with feminist economist Anni Marttinen and feminist activist and author Olga Palo.

Emma Holten is a Danish feminist activist, gender policy consultant and feminist economist.

Anni Marttinen is an ecosocial economist who is currently working at Tehy, the union for professionals in the health and social care sector.

Olga Palo is a Finnish feminist activist and author, who recently published her book Keskusteluja lapseni ja Virginia Wolfin kanssa.
