Käänne Festival will take place on 17–18 January 2026 at Korjaamo, Helsinki.
Korjaamo Culture Factory is located at Töölönkatu 51 A-B, 00250 Helsinki.
The event is free of charge and open to everyone, but capacity may grow limited and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The programme will take place across several spaces at Korjaamo:
- Vaunusali is located on the Tram Museum side and can be accessed from the museum’s main entrance.
- Kulmasali, Kino, Aula, Rune, Salli, and Leino are located in Korjaamo’s main building and can be accessed from Korjaamo’s main entrance in the complex’s courtyard.
- Opposite the Korjaamo entrance, there is also a staircase leading to Vintti. Step-free access to this space is via the Tram Museum.
Please note that there are three different entrances to queue at, and these spaces aren’t connected.
The programme in Vaunusali will be live-streamed on the festival’s YouTube channel.
During the event, Korjaamo Bar & Kitchen will be open and serving visitors.

ACCESSIBILITY
Visitors holding an EU Disability Card may enter the venue with an assistant without queueing.
All festival spaces offer both seating and standing options. There are no designated raised platforms for wheelchair users.
The main entrance of Korjaamo is accessible. Entry is through the main doors, which are reached either via a short flight of steps or via an accessible route from Eino Leinon katu. The area in front of the entrance is paved with old cobblestones. The main doors are relatively heavy. Thresholds at the doors are lowered. The route is clearly signposted, well lit, and over 1.5 metres wide.
There is ample space outside the main entrance for movement, including with a wheelchair. An accessible taxi can stop close to the accessible entrance on Eino Leinon katu.
Vaunusali, Kulmasali, Kino, Vintti, as well as Salli and Rune, are accessible. Vintti is primarily accessed by stairs, but the space can also be reached by elevator via another entrance. The Vaunusali side of Korjaamo is accessible for people using mobility aids. The doorway to Rune has a lowered threshold and a gentle ramp leading to a slightly raised floor. The doorway to Kino has a threshold of approximately 3 cm.
Vaunusali is located in the same premises as the Helsinki Tram Museum, which is accessible. Interior doors are clearly distinguishable, glass doors have contrast markings, and changes in floor level are clearly marked with tape. Upon entering Vaunusali, parts of the indoor floor are covered with cobblestones.
An accessible taxi can stop close to the accessible entrance on Eino Leinon katu.
Korjaamo has both accessible and non-accessible toilet facilities. Some toilets are gendered, while others are gender-neutral.
At Käänne Festival, we follow principles aimed at making the event a safer space for everyone.
PRINCIPLES FOR A SAFER SPACE
Käänne is a space for discussion and debate, but human rights and equality are not matters of opinion.
We do not tolerate racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, body-shaming, or any form of harassment or discrimination. We respect everyone’s mental and physical integrity.
If you experience harassment or discrimination, please contact the event security or the designated harassment support persons.
All conversations with harassment support persons are confidential unless otherwise agreed. Anyone behaving inappropriately may be removed from the event.
At Käänne, questions and critical thinking are welcome! We make space for different experiences, backgrounds and viewpoints, and work together to dismantle hierarchies. We are here to learn from one another.
We also respect each other’s boundaries while celebrating. Please always ensure consent, especially when touching, kissing or taking photographs. No one should be pressured into using alcohol or other substances, and remember: no means no.
Let’s have fun together!
